Terms of Service

Welcome to AeternaCraft Studio. By using our website at aeternacraft.com, including the Photo-to-Pattern Studio, the Amigurumi Yarn & Resizing Calculator, and the blog (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and are legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Accounts

  • You may use the Photo-to-Pattern Studio anonymously for up to 3 free patterns without signing in.
  • Creating a free account unlocks 7 additional free patterns (10 free total) and saves your project history.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

3. Paid Subscriptions

  • Pro Monthly: $1.99/month, billed in advance. Unlimited pattern generations, full row-by-row tutorials, brand yarn colour matching, and PDF exports.
  • Pro Yearly: $19/year, billed in advance (a 20% saving vs monthly). Same features as Pro Monthly.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting support.
  • Refunds are governed by the refund policy applicable in your jurisdiction. If you are an EU consumer, you have a 14-day withdrawal right.
  • Prices are listed in USD; your payment provider may apply currency conversion fees.

4. Your Content

  • "Your Content" means any photo you upload to the Photo-to-Pattern Studio and any pattern, palette, or project you save.
  • You retain ownership of Your Content. By uploading, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process the image solely to generate and deliver crochet patterns back to you.
  • You represent that you own or have the rights to use any image you upload, and that the image does not violate any third party's rights (including copyright, privacy, or trademark rights).
  • We do not claim ownership of Your Content. Uploaded images are deleted within 24 hours unless you save them to a project.

5. Generated Patterns

  • Patterns generated by the Service are produced by AI and may contain errors. Always verify stitch counts and colour placements before starting a large project.
  • You may use generated patterns for personal and commercial handmade projects. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicence the pattern files themselves.
  • We are not liable for material waste, project failure, or any loss arising from reliance on a generated pattern.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise harmful.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
  • Use the Service to train competing AI models without our written permission.
  • Resell or share your subscription access with multiple users.
  • Interfere with security features or other users' access.

7. Free Tools

The Amigurumi Yarn & Resizing Calculator and the blog are free to use and require no account. We may modify, limit, or discontinue free tools at any time without notice, although we will not materially reduce features you have already paid for within an active subscription period.

8. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, including the code, design, blog content, branding, and the algorithm documentation, is owned by AeternaCraft Studio and protected by copyright and other laws.
  • Blog articles may be quoted under fair use/dealing with attribution and a link back to the original article.
  • The algorithm behind the Amigurumi Calculator is documented publicly at /tools/amigurumi-calculator/algorithm.md for educational use; commercial implementation requires our written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated patterns will be fit for any particular purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AeternaCraft Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold AeternaCraft Studio harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for violations of these Terms, security concerns, or discontinuation of the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we will delete Your Content and account data within 30 days unless retention is required by law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which AeternaCraft Studio is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You may bring disputes in the courts of that jurisdiction or as required by mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
